Thank you!

Volunteer

Bring your passions and your interests to BMCA. Whatever your time allows is helpful. Small doses produce big results. We want your insights, enthusiasm and help - even in 15 minute increments! Some jobs are small, others require more time and specific skills. Most jobs are done online or via telephone. If you find an option that interests you here, please contact Ellen.

  • Committees: The committees of BMCA do most of the organization's work. If you don't see a committee on the list that might address an area you are interested in, contact Ellen, or offer to start one. We are always looking for new ideas. Working on a committee is a direct way to move forward your dreams and desires for the work, as well as an opportunity to interact with some wonderful, interesting people.
  • Conferences: BMCA Conferences rely on 6-8 on-the-ground volunteers each year to help the conference run smoothly. If you are interested in volunteering in exchange for free entrance to the conference, please contact Ellen for more information.
  • Representing BMCA at other somatic conferences: Are you interested in finding information on somatic conferences around the world? We need help compiling a listing of all conferences and making sure BMCA is represented either via marketing materials or via a conference attendee.
  • Not sure what the best fit is? Contact Ellen to figure out the best place to help might be based on your experience, availablity, and interests!

What do volunteers do at BMCA now?

Volunteers are the people that keep BMCA running! Most serve on the Board of Directors or on a Committee to help us produce conferences, the BMCA Journal, grow our membership, provide outreach and marketing, respond to scholarship and fee waiver requests, monitor grants, and more.

We need support to keep growing. If you are interested in serving on a committee and/or helping with a smaller job and/or interested in starting your own committee, please contact Ellen to get things started!
