The BMCA Community

Join the BMCA Community

The BMCA Community Platform (hosted on Mighty Networks) offers a collection of spaces for gathering and connecting for anyone interested in Body-Mind Centering®. We offer three categories of membership — Community, Explorer, and Professional — each with corresponding levels of access and benefits.

BMCA has implemented its payment structures for membership and events with the intention of bringing greater parity and broader access to our international community while also sustaining ourselves as a U.S.-based non-profit organization.

Our Professional Membership fees are tiered in our Economic Leveling program. Discount tiers are based on a member's country of residence and primary source of income, and the country’s purchasing power relative to the U.S.

For our Explorer membership and all of our events, we offer self-selecting sliding scale pricing.

Free Community Membership

We welcome all those with an interest in Body-Mind Centering® to join our community – the somatically curious, students, friends, teachers, and practitioners. Community membership is FREE and will help you stay up-to-date with BMC® and BMCA-related news and events.

Explorer Membership

Explorer membership is offered on a self-selecting sliding scale to those interested in participating in the BMCA community, receiving discounts to events, and access to resources such as BMCA’s Currents journal and Members Forum.

Annual, monthly, and auto-renew payment plans are available. We invite you to select a contribution level that feels both meaningful and sustainable for you, helping us build a more equitable community.

HIGH: $95/year or $9/month
MEDIUM: $60/year or $6/month
LOW: $35/year or $4/month

Professional Membership

BMCA Professional Members are certified graduates of programs offered by School for Body-Mind Centering® (SBMC) Licensed Organizations. Certification programs include Somatic Movement Educator (SME), Practitioner, and Infant Developmental Movement Educator (IDME).

Professional Members are authorized to use the service marks (Body-Mind Centering® and BMC®) in describing their workshops, classes, and other offerings. Certified graduates who wish to teach or assist in SBMC programs, or who offer study groups for Bonnie’s online series, must be Professional Members in good standing. A portion of the membership fee is allocated for an annual mark fee, which supports the maintenance and upholding of the registered trademarks.

Professional Members must sign the Marks sub-license agreement, maintain good standing, adhere to ethical guidelines in their practice, and stay current with continuing education requirements.
