Sara began studying with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in 1973 in New York City when she was a student at NYU in Dance Therapy. She apprenticed with the Erick Hawkins Dance Company and later performed with Beverly Brown, David Woodberry, Andy deGroat, and Pauline de Groot in Amsterdam where she also taught Body-Mind Centering® at the Opleiding Moderne Dans. She toured the U.S. and Europe with David, premiering choreography in Eindhoven, Munich, Paris, Minneapolis and New York City. She continued studies in pre-med and multiple hands-on therapies to enrich her practice in movement and touch with certifications or licenses from the New York State DOE in Massage Therapy, the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer and Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy as a Myofunctional Therapy for TMJ, and Moving for Life: Dance Exercise for Health® as a Certified Instructor.
In 1990, she founded and currently directs The NeuroMuscular Center, Inc. for natural pain relief where she sees patients privately and teaches courses online based on Body-Mind Centering® and how to follow a ketogenic diet. She was a founding member of The Body-Mind Centering® Association member and past president of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association. She recently published The 10 Best Ways to SUPERCHARGE your Health on Amazon, and a course called "Stop Pulling Your Hair Out: The 7 Winning Strategies to Lovingly Raise Your ADHD Child!" published on Tony Robbin's Mastermind.com. She has spoken at various venues and serves on the Program Advisory Committee at the Swedish Institute: NYC College of Health Sciences.
