Sylvia Maes is fascinated by the body and healing, Body-Mind Centering® has allowed her to explore herself and healing in an embodied joyful manner. First introduced to Bonnie in 1984, she finished the practitioner program in 1994 and continued to assist at many of the local BMCSMPrograms until the SBMC moved to California. She has a bodywork practice, Healing Hands ~ Movement Therapy, located in her home office and garden. She also worked at and then ran a Tomatis Method TMListening Center for many years. Sylvia is a visual artist (small watercolors of sea and sky), gardens extensively (flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and chickens) and has three children (one is still at home). She works out of the house she designed and built rather than doing the 1989 Program - something Bonnie reminded her of this spring. Lay-herbalist, lay-homeopathic and biohacker, experimenter- she loves to dance.
