Description

In this virtual class, we explore embodiment of the body systems, developmental movement, and embryology. 

The material we study is informed by the questions and inspiriations of the participants.

Intructor's Bio

Joel Haines, Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME) and Infant Developmental Movement Educator (IDME) has a background in dance, movement studies, education, early childhood, nature appreciation, social work, and massage therapy. He has worked with persons across the life span. He endeavors to meet self, life, and others with authentic presence, gentleness, compassion, playfulness, curiosity, and possibility.

Joel has been very influenced by improvisational dance, Body-Mind Centering®, Authentic Movement, Continuum Movement, t’ai chi, Chi-Lel Qigong, primitive survival skills, and movement in nature.

Joel became a certified SME in 2011 from the School for Body-Mind Centering® North Carolina, and a certified IDME in 2023 from Babies Project.
