Description
ORIGINAL NATURE, A PRACTICE IN PRESENCE A POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME SCHEDULED FOR 2018 – 2021 This programme is made up of twelve, five day modules over a three year period commencing in April/May 2018 and ending in May 2021 with a thirteenth module of a six day outdoor retreat in the Wicklow Hills. The programme covers the foundations of the ground form of Authentic Movement, moves it into Embodied Spiritual Practice and further deeply cultivates the practice of entering into Direct Embodied Experience of the here and now with oneself and others. This is practiced both indoors and out in nature.
Intructor's Bio
Joan Davis... has been exploring the nature of creativity particularly from a body based perspective for over 30 years. She pioneered contemporary dance in Ireland in the 70s & 80s and has experimented with collaborative art as a professional artist and therapist. From 1996, when she moved to Wicklow, she developed the arts practice and performance offerings of Maya Lila. Joan is a Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner, has studied Authentic Movement with Janet Adler, and Voice Work with Chloe Goodchild and Rajeswar Bhattacharya. She continues to study the developmental process as well as embryology and early infant trauma. She has extensively studied Process Oriented Psychology (Mindell) and is a Hakomi Sensorimotor Trauma Psychotherapist. She has recently undertaken trainings in Dynamic Attachment Repair Experiences (DARE) with Dr. Diane Poole Heller in Europe. She continues her studies with trainings in HANDLE an holistic approach to neuro developmental healing and repatterning.
