Description

BodyMind Dancing™ (BMD) is:
– restorative: slowing down and connect to your breath, weight and fluidity refreshes the bodymind from cells to brain
– energizing: dancing with others supports wellbeing and a healthy immune system
– generative: moving with curiosity opens up new pathways for creative practice

No previous experience necessary.

BMD is a synthesis of Body-Mind Centering®, Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies, and contemporary dance developed by Dr Martha Eddy and colleagues.

Each class is unique, drawing on:
-explorations of weight, space, rhythm and intention in movement
-guided improvisation and loose movement sequences to follow in your own way
-embodied anatomy & physiology
-developmental movement patterns in relation to gravity, space, self and environment
-connecting with yourself and your expression in a fun group context
