Information for Presenters

We are looking forward to your presentation at the 2018 BMCA Conference! Below are some deadlines, helpful information, and contacts. Please email anytime with questions.


Nov. 20, 2017:

Registration deadline to commit to present

Dec. 15, 2017:

Submission deadline for all scheduling requests

Mar. 15, 2018:       

Submission deadline for any edits to bios, descriptions, and material/technical needs.

Helpful Information:

  • BMCA requires all presenters to register for the entire main conference (June 6-9) at the discounted, non-refundable rate of $275. Registration for pre- or post- conference workshops with Deborah Hay (June 5/6) and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen (June 9/10) are optional and require an additional cost.
  • BMCA will provide all space, any material and technical needs (upon availability) and support staff for the aforementioned presentation. A list of available materials and technical capacities is forthcoming. *NOTE: Support staff will assist with technical and material set-up and tear-down for your presentation, but are not available to assist during your presentation.
  • BMCA will share the approximate number of registrants pre-registered in the workshop/lecture/ panel prior to the conference. Please note that typically only half of participants pre-register, so be prepared for more participants.
  • Marketing: BMCA will market all presentations and the conferences nationally and internationally.
  • Administration: BMCA is responsible for all administrative needs of the conference, including marketing, registration, and information sharing.  BMCA will accommodate any marketing ideas brought forth by the Presenter that are in the best interest of the presenter and BMCA.
  • Panels: Presenters who are moderating panels are expected to identify panelists for their panel.  (Upon request, BMCA will share up-to-date registrant names to assist with this process.)

Withdrawing a presentation:

  • The Presenter agrees not to withdraw their offering from the conference except in the case of unexpected emergency.
  • In case of emergency, please let your presenter facilitator know as soon as possible. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable.
