Description

This 4-part series will cover the developmental progression that babies go through from birth to walking. Through a combination of movement explorations and discussion, we will explore the layering of reflexes, movement skills, and sensory integration that help babies develop the curiosity and confidence to explore their world on their own terms.

Each class will cover a developmental stage:

  • birth to midline,
  • midline to rolling,
  • rolling to crawling, and
  • crawling to walking.

This class is for anyone interested in understanding how babies learn to negotiate gravity, their own bodies, and their environment as they gradually make their way up to verticality. This includes parents, people who work with babies, and anyone who’s ever been a baby! You are encouraged to participate in the whole series, but can also take individual classes. Please register in advance.
