EMBODYING (human) NATURE | BODY-MIND CENTERING^®

“I have found that my body is, in a sense, a microcosm of the world, and thus, a laboratory for understanding its meaning” (Stinson, 2004)
 
We will dive into the Art of Somatic Exploration through the deep approach of Body-Mind Centering® exploring the interweaving between Embodiment and Expression - Improvisation - Communication, and how they can support each other.
 
Movement, sound, touch, somatisation and visualization will be some of the mediums to explore and bring awareness to different aspects of our Body.

Improvisation and performance practices might be used as an integration; making room for choice, dialogue, questions and transformation.
 
This is an invitation for anyone interested in presence and awareness in movement, especially cultivating the relationship between Body, Mind and Soul, for an individual and collective growth.  
 

 

Maria Coma is a Vocalist and Performer, Musician and Composer, Movement Researcher and Somatic Movement Educator from Body-Mind Centering^®. The focus of her pedagogic and artistic interest is to blur frontiers, especially between Somatic Exploration and Expression. The Artistic, Therapeutic and Spiritual potential of Somatic practices is an essential driving force for a path always traced as an ongoing research and exploration.
