Description

Are you interested in improving your mobility, balance, and movement choices?

Would you like to develop skills and reflexes that build your confidence in negotiating gravity, including falling without injuring yourself?

It’s not inevitable that our movement skills deteriorate as we get older. And you don’t have to think of yourself as an ‘elder’ to care about being (and continuing to be) a competent mover!

This class focuses on developing and practicing movement skills that support changing levels, including getting down to the floor and back up again. Movement explorations also include mobilizing and articulating the feet, rolling, crawling, getting into and out of sitting, and balancing.

We will draw upon developmental movement patterns and principles of Body-Mind Centering® to cultivate clear pathways of support and ease in movement.

This class is open to any level of movement experience and any age.

Students are expected and encouraged to work at their own pace and move into positions that they can also get themselves out of – a developmental principle that applies to babies of all ages!

Read testimonials from adults who have explored developmental movement with us.
