Description

Organized by Leben nuova, this online course is valid for the BMC® Practitioner certification requirement. It is also open to all SME graduates interested in continuing their BMC training in the future, and to advanced SME students who wish to integrate their embodied studies with some knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology. Its goals are: 1) acquiring a basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology; 2) creating a knowledge base from which further studies can be organized: 3) developing a methodology for self-learning and own research; 4) reviewing each body system, understanding how they all contribute to homeostasis and how they integrate with each other.

The course is structured in order to guide and facilitate self-study (100 hours) through online supervision meetings (32 hours), in plenary and small groups. Students are required to study on a text book: either Gerard J. Tortora, Principles of Anatomy and Physiology; or, Elaine N. Marieb, Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology. There will also be handouts with a chapter for every meeting (these are included in the course fee).

It is total of 16 meetings (approx 2 hours each) from October 5th 2020 to June 29th 2021. Attendance will be every 2 – 3 weeks. Time is to be announced. The plenary meetings are in English and Italian with consecutive translation; the small groups meetings are in one or the other language depending the composition of the group.
