Registration Opens Saturday, February 25th
Presenters Must Register by Saturday, March 25th

PREPARATION PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE:

PRESENTATION LENGTH: All presentations/workshops/practices/panels are one hour and 15 minutes in length including discussion and/or Q&A with participants. BMCA asks that the entire session be devoted to content and that presenters avoid time spent on introductions and participant greetings. All performances (in person and remote) are required to be maximum 8 minutes in length.
 

IF PRESENTING REMOTELY, Your zoom host will contact you in May to discuss/design/practice your presentation, its format, agenda, production elements.  Please provide the illustrations and videos you intend to share on the screen with your zoom host in the planning process.
 

IF PRESENTING ON SITE AT HOBART WILLIAM & SMITH COLLEGES (HWS), Email any unique space, prop, technology needs that were not provided in your proposal to presenters@bmcassociation.org by March 1, 2023.
 

CO-PRESENTERS: Multiple presenters can participate from any location.  A single offering can be executed from variable locations: on site at HWS and or remote from anywhere in the world simultaneously.
 

ON-SITE HYBRID PRESENTERS (those that were notified and have agreed): Indicates that participants will be viewed on the screen by remote registrants and participants will be present in the studio/classroom at HWS. Registrants from remote locations can participate.  Volunteers will manage camera and sound in the studio.
 

COVID POLICY on campus at HWS as of January, 2023: students and faculty are required to be vaccinated, masking is generally optional but required by some faculty and in some specific spaces. Depending on Covid case level in Ontario county in June, 2023 masks may be required for indoor gatherings and/or movement sessions. 

TRAVEL TO and FROM Hobart William and Smith Colleges: All Presenters are responsible for travel to and from HWS campus. 

  • Geneva, NY is 50 miles east of the Rochester (ROC) airport and Rochester Amtrak station
  • 50 miles west of the Syracuse (SYR) airport and Syracuse Amtrak station, and
  • 45 miles north of Ithaca. Geneva is exit 42 off the NY State Thruway.
  • Geneva is served by a Greyhound/Trailways bus station.

REGISTRATION opens February 25, 2023. 
All presenters and co-presenters must register by
March 25, 2023.
Registration fees support the conference and BMCA and are NON-REFUNDABLE. 
Pay from the Heart will be available for those with fiscal challenges.

On site presenters are welcome to register for Lodging and Dining Service Accommodations available through HWS Colleges . A link for HWS College Accommodations will be available when registering on or after February 25, 2023.

ACCESSIBILITY:  95% of the conference spaces AND accommodations are accessible and accommodations will be made if there is a need or any exceptions.

EARLY BIRD Registration fees:

  • $450 registration
  • $175 BMCA Members
  • $125 Conference Presenters
  • $75   Students, University , professional  somatic training programs including SBMC

         Plus Processing Fee of 6%

AS of May 1, 2023, all early bird fees above (students excepted) increase by $50!

Pay from the Heart is available, minimum: $50.

If the Pay from the Heart minimum is still a barrier to attend the conference, please reach out to us at admin@bmcassociation.org. We do have full and partial scholarships available. You are an important part of our community and we want you with us!

Accommodations provided by Hobart & William Smith Colleges:

Overnight accommodations: $51.69 per person per night; single room in a 4 bedroom townhouse with 2 shared full bathrooms and shared living room and kitchen (no dishes/utensils/pans).

Food service in HWS dining hall:

  • Breakfast: $7.26
  • Lunch: $15.00
  • Dinner: $21.36
     

REGISTRANT must register and pay for meals in advance, no cash at the door.

Registration for accommodations are made and paid for by registrant using a HWS link to Summer Conferences. Accommodation link will also be placed in the registration application as well as on the conference site ON February 25, 2023 when EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION BEGINS.

COPYRIGHT RULES: All presenters have agreed to secure copyright permission for sourced content of any kind.  Presenters seeking copyright free anatomical images or music can consult the following websites:

USE OF PRESENTATION RECORDINGSAll registrants will have access to recordings of Remote and Hybrid presentations for 90 days post conference.  BMCA will maintain a copy of all recordings for archival purposes.  Presenters are welcome to download the recordings of their own presentations personal use.  Registrants are welcome to download Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen’s workshop for personal use.  Please contact any other presenter to attain permission to download their offering for personal use.

  • Debrief Report Survey
  • Access to Continuing Education Credits
